The last of the snow if melted...these days are spent running in and out of the steaming greenhouse..visiting the sheep and goats...making french bread (and assembling sandwhiches with the last of our broiler chicken). We are soaking up the cosy days, getting ready for the running about pell mell with "Zippidy Doo" in our hearts over the Spring weather.

Old Life...New Life

Our favorite "Adult-Friendly" activity during moving days...child burritos. "Look Ma! I can't move my hands!"
We said goodbye to the mural we painted on the girls' wall.

2 days after moving into our new home our dear friend Nathan tore down part of the kitchen wall to reveal a chimney...and promptly installed a woodstove..."To make it hard for you to ever move again!"
It's working!

I am not sure how we lived without one.
Between marshmellow roastings, and
late night conversations...happiness in Winter depends on a crackling fire.

Christmas Puppet Show

With the aid of an upside down dresser, and THE piece of sacred cardboard...the 1st annual Glochenshperi Christmas Puppet Show (on American soil) debuted.
The performers were very glad of some necessary clutch volunteering from amongst the audience.
You may send fan-mail (and chocolates) to their address:

Happy Christmas and a Joy-Filled New Year!

Christmas 2010

flannel nightgowns float
before a wonderland tree
after pittering down the
farmhouse staircase
then clutching new ponies
after a warm bath
hot cocoa and cookies
are laid under down comforters
and warm quilts
with wriggling raisin toes inside.

St. Nicholas day brought cookie baking...and shoes filled with chocolate coins and peppermint candies...
