Gardening Gals

The girls have a garden of their own! You should see it now! Tomatoes and marigolds, beans, peas, taters, carrots, lettuce...and sweat peas and sunflowers from Grandmim too. Also, celery, cauliflower, and herbs!
Now their grabbing their hoes and "breaking new ground for more garden space"! If you plant them, they will grow!

Wee farmers

The broiler chicks have arrived, and are being pampered by the very eager attentions of the girls.

Tending a budding tomato garden...for "tea parties in summer".

Happy Mother's Day!

Tilda has been gathering every wild violet and dandilion in sight!

The Staff of Life

Una is pictured here in her official bread making uniform.
They are kneading little french baguettes. Tilda has been devouring the Hobbit and the Fellowship of the Ring with Papa lately, and so when her little french loaf finished baking she carried it off and all around the farm, waving it about and was heard muttering "I am Bilbo and this is my sword, STING!"

Artists in Residence

Apparently Una felt that the upstairs hallway was a little unadorned for her tastes. Because Papa and I later found some very impressive Japanese looking art in purple on the walls.
