(The girls adopted Ken after he brought over his Shire horses, tractor, and bag of jelly beans.)
Bothilde has been spending lots of time checking on the new baby kittens.
Una, for her part, adores the goats. They are both helping us out in the CSA field. Tilda helps Papa lay the drip tape and hoe the beds, while Una hums to herself, checks out the quality of the dirt, and gives Mama moral support while she is planting out transplants.
The composted manure pile is one of the girls' favorite spots. Bathtime comes more often these days.
"Well...I wish those draft horses were ours." Bothilde
"ooooo, didle, dump dumpa, oooo wop!" Una (doing a dance as she looks on at Indy and Dance and gets really happy around the most gigantic mammals she has ever seen.)
This is what Tilda had to say "Oh!! (Cooing and coddling...) Tilda actually was walking down hand in hand with Papa to feed Ginger and Dix when they discovered Ginger's little surprise!
We sat and "sewed fine seams" today. Bothilde is quite taken with the notion of drawing with brilliantly colored thread. Una likes to embroider to...herself that is. She got many many skeins of embroidery floss stuck to her and trailed about the house so decorated!
